If you are a public facing organisation that has visitors or staff coming on site, you can generate a QR code poster for your premises.
All businesses are now required to display government generated QR code posters at all premises.
This QR (quick response) code poster will enable your staff or visitors to create a digital diary of the places they have visited by using your code poster and the NZ COVID Tracer app.
The Ministry of Health has set up a process for businesses to generate NZ COVID Tracer QR code posters - all you need is a valid New Zealand drivers licence to generate an official poster. If you don't have a drivers licence you can find more information here.
Each QR code poster contains a scannable code based on the organisation's New Zealand Business Number (NZBN) and Global Location Number.
QR code posters should be displayed where your staff or visitors enter the premises.
If you have questions about privacy, read more here.
For more information on accessing or getting authority over an NZBN, and to register for scan code posters, visit https://www.business.govt.nz/covid-19/contact-tracing.
