The Funding Network New Zealand works to support small, local New Zealand charities to connect with our generous and giving community. Their virtual programme - The Generosity Generator (online training and fundraising support) - has run regular programmes with groups of small Kiwi grassroots charities.
The programme equips charity sector leaders to develop their fundraising and pitching skills; and empowers them to plan and deliver successful crowdfunding campaigns.
You can help by donating to one or more charities and by sharing the event (once it launches) with your networks.
A recent generosity generator saw 23 charities raise a collective total of $186,271!
The very last Generosity Generator nationwide crowdfunding event launches on Monday 6th November and runs until Friday 17th November 2023.
Why is this the last event?
The Funding Network NZ will be closing on 31st December 2023, so they will no longer be running the Generosity Generator training programme in its current form. They have plans to create a free, self-paced online course in 2024 in collaboration with Givealittle, for anyone interested in learning the essentials of online fundraising.
This online course will teach the essentials of online fundraising through video tutorials and will include resources. The course will be freely available to all charities and individuals across Aotearoa New Zealand who would like to learn how to deliver successful crowdfunding campaigns.
