Induction for new board/committee members

Created: December 17, 2020 at 11:11 AM | Updated: December 17, 2020 | By NZ Navigator Trust

All organisations, regardless of their size and purpose, should provide an induction programme for new members of their board and committees.

An effective induction programme will:

  • Provide core information and advice to enable a new member to understand the organisation and their role; and
  • Ensure that new members feel welcome, valued and part of the team.

The DIY Committee Guide have put together this information to help you compile a programme suitable for your organisation.

Included are links to templates like a checklist for induction and new members information sheet.
