Created: July 29, 2020 at 11:34 AM | Updated: July 29, 2020 | By NZ Navigator Trust

Despite the stress and pressure your organisation may be under, it is important to remember that employment legislation has not changed. It is vital that employers follow a proper process in any changes that involve employees.

Making staff redundant has information and links to other resources to help you with this process.

Employment New Zealand have a number of best practice guidance resources to help you, including during the COVID-19 response and recovery:

  • Terminating employment agreements
  • COVID-19 and the workplace
  • Good faith - what does this mean?

You can find a full list of Employment New Zealand's tools and resources here.
