Contact tracing for organisations
To stop the spread of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health traces contacts of anyone who has been exposed to COVID-19. Recording people’s movements helps them do this quickly and efficiently.
All organisations, except retail, must record details of all people’s movement on their premises. Organisations should also keep people 1 metre apart at all times, where practicable.
The contact tracing information page on the Unite against COVID-19 site includes a downloadable contact tracing register and links to further information about privacy issues.
If you are a public facing organisation that has visitors or staff coming on site, you can generate a QR code poster for your premises as long as you have a New Zealand Business Number.
