Matariki is a time to rest, reflect on the year past, and reset for the year ahead. Experience the transformative power of rest, reflection, and reset with Tuihana Ohia and Te Whare Tapa Whā.
The holistic Te Whare Tapa Whā wellbeing model was developed by Sir Mason Durie. It represents wairua/spiritual wellbeing; taha hinengaro/mental and emotional wellbeing; taha tinana/physical wellbeing, and; taha whānau/family and social wellbeing, and is rooted in our connection to the whenua.
In this session, each participant will create a mind map of themselves as they are. Taking time to reflect on the foundations of your life; physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, family and social, and your connection to whenua and place.
You will use your mind map from the first session to explore Te Whare Tapa Whā more deeply. In this session you will identify your pūmanawa (unique gifts and talents) and your tikanga (practices) and how to nourish these to support your life purpose.
This week you weave together the insights you have had through mind mapping, and identifying your pūmanawa and tikanga. You will draw on these insights to plan how to resource and re-source yourself to get to a place of mauri (vital essence).
