The Centre for Social Impact has developed the Capability Support Wheel, a signposting tool designed to help community organisations find development resources.
The Capability Support Wheel includes links to a curated selection of online resources and much more.
Capability development is generally defined as developing the knowledge, skills, instincts, abilities and processes required to operate effectively and carry out a task well.
Strengthening capability tends to focus on organisational development, and is key to creating enabling conditions for organisations to deliver impact for communities.
The Wheel is organised into six core categories, each targeting important areas of organisational development:
Vision, Mission, and Strategy
Governance and Leadership
Strategic Relationships
Internal Operations and Management
Service Delivery and Impact
Resource Development
The primary goal of the Capability Support Wheel is to streamline the identification of capability-building tools and training opportunities. By doing so, they aim to help community organisations access the knowledge, skills, instincts, abilities, and processes they need to operate effectively and achieve lasting impact.
Explore the Capability Support Wheel today and unlock the potential of your community organisation with targeted development resources and support.
