Creating an organisation continuity plan

Created: June 28, 2018 at 2:52 PM | Updated: February 5, 2024 | By NZ Navigator

A business (or organisation) continuity plan (BCP) identifies how your organisation can keep its essential functions up and running during a time of disruption. Planning will give your organisation a better chance of recovering quickly.

Wellington Region Emergency's (WREMO) simple guide will walk you through the steps required to develop a business continuity plan. Download the template plan (save a copy to your computer before you start to fill it in) and complete each section by following the steps.

There are more easy-to-use resources to help your organisation be better prepared:

  • BCP Guide
  • BCP Template
  • BCP Sensitive Business Information Template
  • BCP Example
