The Māori Language Commission was set up under the Māori Language Act 1987, and continued under Te Ture Reo Māori 2016, to promote the use of Māori as a living language and as an ordinary means of communication.
The Commission:
A register of operating Te Reo Māori translators and interpreters who are open to work.
Te reo Māori words and phrases to use for Zoom and Teams meetings.
Using Māori language on bilingual signs is something all organisations can do to support language revitalisation.
