Code of Ethics - guidelines for youth work

The Code of Ethics for Youth Work, developed by Ara Taiohi (the peak body for youth development in New Zealand), defines the key values and standards for youth workers in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This code focuses on two outcomes. It identifies the core youth work values, values that provides effective care, support and inspiration for young people; and sets standards for youth workers, to keep young people safe and improve the quality of their practice. These standards were developed by the youth sector, for the youth sector.
